The promoter and the CEO of Gharrkul Masalas, Mr. Arun D. Varangoankar is a man of varied experience. He began his career as a Medical Representative and worked as one for sixteen years. During this long stint he gained many insights into marketing products in India. He began his enterprise with the princely sum of Rs. 20/- . His first venture was a partnership with four of his Medical Representative colleagues. The product they sold was "pappad". Over time he quit the partnership and began his new business Gharrkul Masalas – in the year 1984
